Tasha Young, (she/her) MSW, advises clients on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) best practices, community engagement, business management, advocacy, policy, and constituent services. She has dedicated her professional and personal life to connecting people by empowering one another, understanding one another, and amplifying the lived experiences as expertise. Her commitment to social justice initiatives spans from advocating for policy and legislation with elected officials to community organizing. Tasha leads initiatives that include; demonstrations, rallies, workshops and forums on equitable legislation and policy, including but not limited to March for our Lives, Healthcare equity, battling Disinformation, movements for Black lives, gender equity, stop hate against AAPI, Pride events, voting rights events, criminal justice reform and more. Most recently Tasha served as Lead Organizer for US Representative Jamaal Bowman’s election campaign, Bowman for Congress and has worked on many electoral campaigns both as paid staff and as a volunteer. Tasha is the President and Founder of the Good Policy Institute where she marries people’s lived experience to policy and budget allocations that create equity and upward economic mobility for BIPOC and low income communities. Tasha also teaches policy at NYU's Silver School of Social Work.
Tasha also serves as a member of several community based organizations including the NAACP, The Westchester Black Women political caucus PAC Chair; Westchester Women's Agenda policy committee member and founder of the annual Juneteenth legislative event, Westchester Anti-racist alliance member, and the Progressive Women of New York steering committee member.
