Nefertari Nkenge, Ed.D. (she/her/hers), has worked in the educational and nonprofit sector for more than 30 years. Dr. Nkenge’s niche expertise in African centered education underpins her culturally relevant, responsive, and sustaining approach to curriculum development, instructional coaching/design, school leadership, academic research, and professional learning and development. Her equitable curriculum content design and warm facilitation methods have complemented the diverse learning styles and met the needs of countless students, teachers, parents, community stakeholders, and corporate, administrative, and nonprofit clients across the nation. As the founder and CEO of Educate to Liberate LLC and Superior Mind ACES (African Centered Educational Services), Dr. Nkenge has no shortage of opportunities to serve. Yet, she is a transformative practitioner still working in the academic trenches. Dr. Nkenge has prioritized sharing her expertise from the elementary to college level to pay forward the mentorship she received from countless Jegna’s. As a ‘Master Teacher’ of African centered education and an experienced, certified K12 administrator and secondary English Language Arts teacher, her growing body of contributions, thought leadership, and mission-driven work continues to inspire and shape the future of education.
