Biography
Sha’Ri Smyth is a certified gut health nutritionist, functional medicine practitioner, and educator specializing in hormone health, environmental toxins, and root-cause healing for women. With dual Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Nutrition Science, two Master’s degrees in Toxicology and Dietetics and Nutrition, and ongoing doctoral work in Health Education and Promotion, she brings both academic depth and lived experience to her teaching.
Sha’Ri’s commitment to whole-body healing is personal. A survivor of childhood abuse, teen motherhood, and a life-altering autoimmune diagnosis, she defied the odds—earning degrees while raising her children, and healing herself when traditional medicine told her there was no hope.
Sha’Ri has made it her mission to educate, empower, and equip Black women to understand their bodies, challenge medical dismissal, and reclaim their health. Her teaching blends science and soul, evidence and empathy, offering students a holistic lens rooted in both academic rigor and radical compassion.
