About Course

Enjoy the rich merger of world mythology with an emphasis on African and African diasporic influences. The course examines universal themes of creation, heroism, trickery, romance, and punishment among the pantheons and other story characters. This will be about the influence that world mythology has on culture, both of the past and pop culture, leading into the future. For example, an open discussion about Medusa and the impact that the Greeks wove in from hair, such as locs. Another topic is the differences of the trickster gods across different cultures.

Length: 10-week course (Live Classes Begin Week of the 19th)

Delivery: HBCU platform or Zoom, TikTok Integration

Focus: 50% myths from BIPOC with emphasis on African and African American mythology, and 50% other global connections
