This course will explore the intersection of Black travel history, technology, entrepreneurship, and empowerment. It will highlight how apps like Green Book Global are reshaping travel safety and joy for Black travelers in 2025. Participants will learn how to travel safer in 2025 as a Black traveler (especially in the USA), gain insights into the website and mobile app development process, explore strategies for starting and scaling a business, how to secure funding, landing partnerships with major brands like Expedia and Amex, and develop a comprehensive understanding of the modern travel landscape for Black individuals.
Additionally, participants will also learn how to identify and avoid sundown towns, leverage AI-powered trip planning tools, and support Black-friendly destinations, while understanding how tech can serve as both a protective measure and a catalyst for community and joy.
